The physsical appearence of the Neanderthal population was certainly not uniform. Today, we are able to observe wide range of appearence across different locations and ages. Certainly, an individual living during an interglacial period dispayed different features than an individual living during ice age. Just as the Middle Eastern population differs from the Western Europe population. However, the evolution of the Neanderthal physique can not be percieved only as the consequence of adaptation to a cold environment. It is the result of several factors, which have influenced the human population such as specific behaviour, diet and genetics.
